You don’t show up consistently! Almost everyone knows this theoretically, and yet one of the most common mistakes I see other mom entrepreneurs making is being super inconsistent!
Inconsistent in marketing, message, structure, administration, and follow-up…just to name a few things.
And when you’re showing up inconsistently…do you think you’ll get great results in your business?
Of course not! I don’t think anyone really expects that with a little here and a little there they will reach their true potential in business.
Not only that but what happens when you aren’t consistent in your business is
You feel like you’re working hard all the time
The results you want aren’t there
It’s hard to find the motivation to keep going
Frustration is high, enjoyment low
You can feel lost or like a failure
Because being inconsistent in business is kind of like being an athlete who only shows up for training once and a while, or for a month and then disappears. Who sometimes tracks their progress, and food intake, or sporadically works with a trainer.
There’s no way you would expect that athlete to make it to the Olympics, let alone the regional championships!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 – 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁.
This doesn’t mean you need to work 24/7 or show up on social media every single day of the week. It means finding a stride that works for you and your family. One that’s a stretch so you keep growing, but is one you’re able to maintain for a long period of time.
𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗜’𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼.
Finding a way to show up consistently in a sustainable way will lead to
Feeling more accomplished with the work you do
Spending less time and energy on things you do
Increased trust amongst your clients
More income
More enjoyment and flow in work
So next time you find yourself embarking on a 30 day challenge on a platform you’re not really enthused about or feeling fed up with social media in general stop it!
Sit down and work make sure you have a plan of action that is realistically ambitious and creates clarity for you on what it looks like in your business to show up consistently!
Now I’m curious…on a scale of 1-10 (no 7s allowed) how consistently do you show up in your business?
